Thanks to Lana Del Rey flower crowns are topping the heads of girls everywhere. Inspired by tutorials I saw on Pinterest, I decided to make my own. A quick stop at the thrift store for silk flowers and pipe cleaners meant this project ended up costing me less than $2.
Supplies
- pipe cleaners
- silk flowers
- scissors/wire cutters
Step 1
Twist together pipe cleaners so that they form a circle that fits comfortably on your head. I used three.
Step 2
Cut flowers leaving a little bit of a stem. Secure flowers to circle by wrapping pipe cleaners around the circle and the stem of the flower.
Step 3
Continue adding flowers until your circle is full. Place on head and accept your new role as fairie queene.
Do you have any summer projects planned?

i love it! it would be oh so pretty with live flowers for a wedding too. seems like a simple DIY too.
pretty tutorial! thanks for sharing
Flower crowns are so pretty. I mean, I am too much of a man to wear one, but they look really cute on other people.
