This week’s IFB Project asks bloggers to celebrate the season of love. I’ve never understood what martyrdom had to do with romance. If Valentine’s Day was a celebration of broken hearts and failed relationships, the connection might make more sense. However, I shouldn’t argue about a day that is supposed to bring one chocolates, flowers, and jewelry. But, what to do when you have no beau of your own? I have some ideas…
Dress Up
A girl doesn’t need a date for an excuse to wear a dress. Cover yourself in hearts and for extra spice, add a red petticoat.
Topshop Long Sleeve Heart Flippy Dress
Eat Chocolate
Don’t be a grouch just because some guy didn’t show up at your door with a box of sub par chocolates he found on sale at the grocery store. Treat yourself. Go on. Chocolate is good for you.

Share the Love
While it may be tempting to hole up in your living room watching an endless marathon of Bridget Jones’s Diary while downing copious amounts of Ben and Jerry’s, snap out of it. Love comes in many forms, so break out the red construction paper, glitter pens, and funky scissors because the world needs more love letters.
What are your Valentine’s Day plans?

OMG that dress is splendid.
I love this post and plan to write love letters.
Me and Mr. Whimsy are going out to dinner.
I’m ssoooo excited that we actually have a sitter.
Great ideas:) I do love that Topshop dress.
This single girl LOVES your ideas! I may have to dress up a little on Thursday, thanks to you!
That heart dress is too darn cute – I think it’d be fantastic with some killer red pumps!
Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Bars? Oh yes.
That dress is SO cute! And I could really go for some chocolate

The love letters project sounds really intriguing and that dress is so fun!
I believe St. Valentine was a preist who married people in the Christian church even when illegal in Rome and he was caught and killed eventually, wasn’t he?
I believe so.
Well, this is certainly not the best Valentine’s Day for me. My son is in the hospital and I’m worried sick about him. I did take some time to get a few presents for loved ones. For me it will be all about letting everyone who has been supporting me know how much they are loved and appreciated.
