Pay no mind to the cover. It’s nothing like the book. I don’t even think the heroine wears purple. Jan Cox Speas romantic adventure, My Love, My Enemy, is just the sort of book one should read when feeling a little blue. A young woman rescues a man she thinks is a British spy only to be at his mercy after her ship is taken over by the British. Despite the steamy cover, the book is more Jane Austen than E. L. James and combines American history with a sweet romance. I read this book a few years ago, and found it just as enjoyable the second time around.
I cannot rave enough about Broadchurch. First, there is David Tennant, and really that would be enough, but the show has even more to offer. While the premise is tragic – a young boy found murdered on the beach – the story is driven by an outstanding cast of characters who continue to surprise me every week. Everyone is suspect, and dark secrets cannot stay hidden for long. While the series already aired in the UK, there are still two more episodes for us stateside. I can’t wait to find out who did it.
Puffy and purple are two words you do not want used to describe your eyes. L’Occitane en Provence Angelica Glowing Eyes is great for refreshing my area and helping me to look rested. The price is more than what you would pay for a drugstore beauty brand, but so far, I think it is worth it.
