This post from love. life. eat. got me thinking about pop tarts. Those tasty toaster pastries were a morning staple for many school days, and I still have a fondness for a box of cinnamon or s’mores. Let’s face it. They are not really healthy but neither is this recipe.
1 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup milk
Combine chocolate chips and milk in a saucepan and let cook until chocolate melts.
Cut dough into shapes and place on greased pan. Spoon chocolate into the middle of half of the pieces.
Cover chocolate filled pieces with another piece of dough. Press down edges with a fork.
Bake at 350 degrees for for 10-15 minutes.
Let pop tarts cool for a few minutes, but frost them while they are still warm. You want the frosting to melt into a glaze.
These completely-unhealthy-but-oh-so-tasty treats will brighten up a gloomy fall afternoon.
