Floral Friday: Something Romantic

crazy daisy flowers

The Rose has but a Summer reign,
The daisy never dies.
-James Montgomery

Typically located by the front door of the grocery store, “Crazy Daisies” boldly greet those too busy searching for milk to stop and smell the roses.  What counts as a crazy daisy varies from store to store.  It’s never the same type of daisy and sometimes glitter is involved, but the colors are always bright.  While some may call dyed flowers an abomination, I find them irresistibly cheerful.  However, when it comes to a romantic gesture, I think a diamond daisy is best.

Floral Fridays is a monthly photography project with different themes each month. This series is about fun and taking time out to smell the flowers. To play along, please email Trishie (trishie@underlockandkeyblog.com) for next month’s theme.

  1. Stopping by from The SITS Girls to leave some comment love! :)Love that ring, and the pic of the “crazy daisies” really brightened up my computer — I needed that on a Monday! Have a great week!

  2. Okay I have to admit the dye flowers thingy drives me crazy. Gerbera Daisies are naturally cheerful and bold. I guess I am a nature freak by nature so I can be a bit of a prude when it comes to altering nature. That is my opinion but I would never steal anyones joy! I have to admit I can no longer tell if orchids in the market are dyed or natural… shhhh don’t tell anyone! #Sitsblogging
