Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

Valentine’s Day would be the perfect holiday if it was only about chocolate.  However, the 14th of February has become a sort of thermometer for couples, and suddenly, the day is no longer about cheap chocolate and a bundle of flowers – it’s about the State of the Relationship or the fact that you have No Relationship At All.  Too much pressure!  And, Singles Awareness Day is only fun if you like being single.  So, this Valentine’s Day put on some red lipstick and have some fun.   Treat yourself to some new jewelry.  Host a Valentine’s Day themed dinner and serve fondue and cookies.  Make everyone wear red and pink and don’t forget to take plenty of pictures.

  1. I always love Valentines Day! I think there are lots of people we can love even if we don’t have that one special someone. : ). I am totally in love with that little pink camera. Oh my word! I want it! I hope your Valentines Day is awesome!

  2. Lovely attitude!! I’m happily married but have never been a huge fan of Valentines. What matters should be how your significant other treats you everyday not just that one. And I hate that it makes some people sad. I like your idea that we should treat ourselves special on that day instead.

  3. These are some great picks – I absolutely LOVE the fondue set, as well as the Fuchsia cord bracelet..actually, I love all of the items you are highlighting! My hubby and I try not to make a big deal out of the day, it’s the quality time spent together that counts IMO 🙂

  4. Great attitude, and awesome list!!! And to be perfectly honest, I wonder if people who get down on Valentine’s Day realize how truly un-romantic it can be even when you DO have someone? My hubby and I don’t really do anything for it – I’d have a blast grabbing some champagne and strawberries with my girlfriends! 🙂 #SITSblogging

  5. Actually my Valentine’s Day IS about chocolate; my husband & I just exchange cards & I usually get him some candy! I know my 20-something daughter dreads trying to find an appropriate gift for the guy she is dating. There shouldn’t be so much pressure! Happy Valentine’s Day!
