I love getting letters in the mail, but you know what they say: The best way to get a letter is to write one. Enter International Geek Girl Pen Pal Club, a website dedicated to all things geeky. Every month, IGGPPC matches pen pals based on their interests, age, and gender. IGGPPC, also, hosts monthly swaps for things like tea, socks, stickers, and greeting cards.
If you’re more interested in receiving mail rather than in corresponding with someone, Postcrossing is the place to go to mail and receive postcards from around the world. Postcrossing, also, lets you keep track of who has sent you postcards as wells as postcards you have sent. You can even keep track of postcards you’ve received by uploading pictures of them to your postcard wall.
Finally, The World Needs More Love Letters is a fantastic way to spread some letter love. The movement encourages people to leave random love letters where people can find them. You can, also, nominate someone to receive a love letter bundle as well as write to those requesting love letters.
While receiving a letter in the mail from a pen pal is always a delight, shopping for supplies is pretty fun, too.
Notecards are my jam, especially when they come in a boxed set. The Botani-call or Write Stationery Set and All-Occasion Notecard Set will give you plenty of options to get started. Make your letters extra special with the Emoji Sticker Set and Happy Stamper Wax Seal Kit in Mind. Don’t forget a way to keep all of the lovely cards you will receive. The Metal Photo Clip String Set would be an awesome way to display them.
