4th of July Style

I don’t want to alarm anyone, but July starts this week. How is this year moving so fast? For those of us in the USA, this weekend is all about barbecues and fireworks. While the 4th of July typically calls for red, white, and blue attire, try mixing things up with darker accessories for a chic twist.

Need a cute outfit for the 4th of July? This sporty, casual look will keep you comfortable from the barbecue through the fireworks.A red tank (Gap) and denim shorts (Frame Denim) are a great starting point, especially if this weekend includes a barbecue, but you may want to keep a denim jacket (Tommy Hilfiger) handy for when the sun goes down. Red lips and nails (NARS and Rimmel London) keep things festive, and sunglasses (Ray-Ban) are a must if you are spending the day outside. Earrings (BaubleBar) that look like fireworks add a whimsical bit of sparkle. Orthopedic sandals (Birkenstock), a Normcore staple, will keep your feet happy, and a leather backpack (rag & bone) is roomy enough to stash summer essentials like a swimsuit.

  4. Cute! My kids will be decked out in red, white, and blue on the 4th. But I don’t think I will be. Maybe. I’ll have to check out my closet. I used to have a patriotic shirt but I stained it with ketchup last year.
