  1. I love love love the article you wrote as a recovering black Friday shopper. I’ll be honest–the whole thing kind of turns me off. I think thanksgiving is a sacred event and for so many families who are separated and would give anything to be reunited with loved ones, it’s terrible waste of togetherness. But i get it–for many (my boyfriend’s family included), it’s a sport. And I can’t begrudge them something I don’t fully understand–I just ask that we make the most of our moments. This year on the way home from dinner, Bryan and I gave thanks in the car. It was short and sweet and my favorite part of the day.

    Anyway, sorry that was long-winded!

    I love that you mentioned zappos.com here, too and what they are doing this year. And also those cactus ornaments are adorable!
