Rose Quartz and Serenity for Spring

As much as I love a pretty dress, I’m a jeans and tee kind of girl. When I was contacted about doing a post featuring Pantone’s 2016 colors and pieces from Farfetch, I had to say yes. Rose Quartz and Serenity are the perfect colors for spring, and Farfetch has so many cute options to choose from.

But, how do you wear rose quartz and serenity if you don’t like pastels?

I tend to gravitate towards jewel tones and earthy colors, so pastels are a little outside my comfort zone. However, even if you are pastel shy like I am, you can still wear the colors of the year. The key is to wear one or two pastel pieces while sticking to your everyday style.

My closet is full of blues from jeans to dresses, so this outfit sticks to a color palette I am comfortable with while introducing a couple of pastel accents. The serenity blue tee isn’t too far from what I normally wear, and the bag is a playful way to add rose quartz without going too pink.

Get ready for spring with this easy rose quartz and serenity look that is the perfect casual outfit for the weekend. Jeans and a tee never looked so good.

As you might have guessed, this spring look is inspired by the rainy days of April. Since you never know when you’ll be caught in a shower, my Farfetch wish list includes a clear raincoat, which can easily be stowed in the car, and these cropped jeans that are perfect for puddle jumping.

  1. I’m gong through the KoniMari method of organizing my clothes this weekend. I will be sure to hold onto anything in rose quartz and serenity. I don’t look great in these light pastels however I should look for accessories that could be amazing accents.

  2. I don’t think I do, but I adore them. I’m just more of a jewel tones person. These are perfect, though. Maybe I need to lighten things up for warm weather.

  3. I was just at ON today and they had a ton of rose quartz and serenity colored items! I love the color of that top and it goes great with those jeans you have pictured! I have to admit, I love the colors of the year, too!

  4. Both colours appeal to me a lot, though I do veer more towards rose quartz. It’s exciting that Pantone is doubling down on their colours of the years. It will be interesting to see if they revert to a single hue in the future, or keep selecting two (or more) from here on out.

  5. Great choices! I just got a Tiny Devotions mala bead necklace with a rose quartz center that I’ve been loving. I wear it with jeans and a tee or maxi dresses.

  6. I’m not really a pastel girl either, but I have found that the shade of blue you feature here is actually very flattering. I just bought myself a new raincoat, but it’s not clear – it’s hot pink! Bright colors make me smile on rainy days.

  7. I used to love pink when I was younger, but now that I am older I tend towards the jewel tones as well. I like your suggestions here though for adding a touch of the pink to your outfit!
