As much as I love a pretty dress, I’m a jeans and tee kind of girl. When I was contacted about doing a post featuring Pantone’s 2016 colors and pieces from Farfetch, I had to say yes. Rose Quartz and Serenity are the perfect colors for spring, and Farfetch has so many cute options to choose from.
But, how do you wear rose quartz and serenity if you don’t like pastels?
I tend to gravitate towards jewel tones and earthy colors, so pastels are a little outside my comfort zone. However, even if you are pastel shy like I am, you can still wear the colors of the year. The key is to wear one or two pastel pieces while sticking to your everyday style.
My closet is full of blues from jeans to dresses, so this outfit sticks to a color palette I am comfortable with while introducing a couple of pastel accents. The serenity blue tee isn’t too far from what I normally wear, and the bag is a playful way to add rose quartz without going too pink.

As you might have guessed, this spring look is inspired by the rainy days of April. Since you never know when you’ll be caught in a shower, my Farfetch wish list includes a clear raincoat, which can easily be stowed in the car, and these cropped jeans that are perfect for puddle jumping.
