Always Wear Jewel Tones

Amethyst. Sapphire. Emerald. Ruby. Jewel tones are magical. They make your eyes sparkle and your skin glow. I’ve never met anyone who didn’t look good in gem inspired colors. Now, I’m on a mission to fill my closet with these rich, saturated hues. When this Papermoon Bastille Tulip Sleeve Blouse showed up in my March Stitch Fix, I knew I needed to keep it. Not only are the sleeves darling, but the emerald color is perfect.

Why you should always wear jewel tones...

Needless to say, this blouse has been getting a lot of play this audition season…

Why I love wearing jewel tones and had to keep this Stitch Fix blouse...

And, as much as I love blue, there is something so fresh and spring-like about green. So, today’s post is dedicated to the color green – emerald green.

Sharing my love of jewel tones and this Papermoon blouse from Stitch Fix.

  1. My children just finished their Wizard of Oz production and we are literally swimming in green over here! Luckily it is indeed a great color 🙂

  2. I feel the exact same way. I know they might not go by seasons anymore, but I’m a true winter. I look good in true, bright white, but terrible in off-whites or earth tones. I pretty much only look good in jewel tones. I’m obsessed with emerald green, royal blue, fuschia and deep purple.

  3. Yes times a million to this wise statement! I adore, and often wear, jewel tones, too. They do amazing things for my pale complexion and green eyes.

What a lovely top and whole outfit. I like the inclusion of a hit of leopard print, quite literally, at the very end. Tres chic!

  4. Never though of the benefits of some colors from that point of view..but yes…sure they are the best shades…this color definitely suits you and makes your eyes even brighter!

  5. You’re right about these colors. And the pretty detailing on the top of the blouse draws attention to your attractive face. Quite a nice look!

  6. That top is so cute on you! I am awaiting my Stitch Fix this week! I LOVE jewel tones but then again I am a “winter” colors girl so those look best on me.

  7. That looks PERFECT on you! I know one person who doesn’t look good in jewely tones- my mother. She can rock a pastel like nobody’s business, though. Jewel tones aren’t as flattering for me as pastels, in general, but I adore them for all the reasons you listed. Especially gemtone greens, blues, and purples. Which I bet you also rock!
