5 Easy Ways to Enjoy Sandal Season

One of the perks of being a blogger is the opportunity to review products, so I was excited when Lipton Publicity sent me the Emjoi® Micro-Pedi Callus Remover to review. With temps in the 80’s, sandal season has begun, which means my feet need to be sandal ready.

Pamper your feet this summer with these 5 easy ways to enjoy sandal season. Plus, I'm sharing my simple secret to soft feet!

According to the American Podiatric Medical Association website, “Your feet must last a lifetime and most Americans log an amazing 75,000 miles on their feet by the time they reach age 50.” All those miles can really take a toll on your feet, so pamper your feet this summer and celebrate everywhere they take you with these quick and easy ideas.

5 Easy Ways to Enjoy Sandal Season

1. Get Rid of Calluses

Nothing ruins sandal season like dry, cracked feet. Thankfully the Emjoi® Micro-Pedi Callus Remover is here to help. The Micro-Mineral roller spins 30 times a second and quickly removes dry, rough, skin from the bottom of your feet. The battery operated device gives you a spa experience at home for only $39.95. (My mom, a chronic sufferer of dry, cracked feet, swears by this little device.)

2. Use a Foot Scrub

There’s nothing like soaking your feet after a long day. Energize tired feet with this Homemade Lemon Peppermint Salt Foot Scrub from Beautetude or pretend you’re on a tropical getaway with this Pina Colada Foot Scrub from ElleSees.

3. Lock in Moisture

My secret to soft feet is slathering Waxelene All Natural Petroleum Jelly Alternative on my feet before I go to bed. Then I slip on socks like these Earth Therapeutics Aloe Moisture Aloe Socks. It’s a spa treatment you can literally do in your sleep!

4. Paint Your Nails

Sandal season is the perfect excuse to paint your nails after a long winter of hiding your feet in boots. ZOYA is one of my favorite nail polish brands because they are 5-free and have an awesome color selection. This summer reach for Lake, a pretty light blue, or Amy, a fiery orange-red.

5. Flaunt Your Feet

What’s the point of having pretty feet if no one can see them? Show them off with statement making sandals! Lace up sandals are having a moment, so now is the time to embrace fringe, tassels, and even pompoms.

  1. It could actually be sandal season in NYC today since the temps have hit 80 degrees. I love to pamper my feet with moisturizing foot masks.

  2. I’m all about a sugar scrub 🙂
I know it’s spring and we’re quickly approaching summer, but I’m rocking the black nail polish- I’m loving it.

  3. That peel thing looks amazing. I paint my toenails (red) and I use a baby foot peel. It’s amazing and weird! Better to do before summer because your feet will peel for two weeks after. Strange!

  4. I’ve been wanting a pair of pom pom sandals SO bad. I need to get one of these for my feet… I run, so I am really hard on my feet and this will help get them nice and soft for when I do my at home pedi’s!

  5. I’m embarrassed to say that I hardly look after my feet at all, poor things. I really need to moisturise and sort my nails out, ha.

  6. I hate feet so I tend to ignore mine, which is definitely the wrong approach! I think I need to look into more at-home solutions to prevent the dreaded cracked heels. Not nice!

  7. I seriously have the worst feet in the world…as in super bad:( I just did the “lotion with socks” last nite, so fingers crossed….:P

  8. Great tips! I love sandal season and moisturize my dogs like it’s going out of style the moment winter hightails it out of town.

Happy Memorial Day long weekend wishes!
