Summer’s hot and humid weather is slowly being replaced by cool, rainy days. Fall is creeping in, which means it’s time to update your wardrobe for the new season. Out with the old and in with the new is now made easier with so many sites/apps that let you sell and buy clothes in under a minute. Earlier this year, I shared my thoughts on ThredUp, but if you are looking for a quicker way to clean out your closet, Tradesy may be the way you want to go.
Clean out your closet with Tradesy…
Tradesy has an app and a website that allows you to quickly list items for sale in your virtual closet. After creating a profile, Tradesy walks you through creating a listing and makes it pretty much foolproof by giving you listing options to choose from (clothes, shoes, accessories, etc., as well as subcategories) and even gives you price suggestions. If you’ve ever listed anything on ebay, Tradesy will be a snap.
I really like using the app because I don’t have to waste time uploading pictures to my computer, and the app makes it convenient to manage sales and edit listings. I, also, like how uncluttered my virtual closet looks thanks to the company wiping the background of each item’s main picture. Items are neatly arranged by type, and you can even choose items to be featured at the top of your page.
I should note that Tradesy takes a 9% commission when you sell and use your earnings for store credit. However, if you select the PayPal payout there is another 2.9% safe transfer fee. This isn’t a big deal to me, but it might be for some people. When you list your item for sale, you are told what your final payout will be with both options, so their commission won’t take you by surprise.
My favorite thing about Tradesy is how easy they make it to mail a package. When you list an item, you can choose a free shipping kit that will be sent to you when your item sells.
While I haven’t purchased off Tradesy yet, I’m very happy with how easy it is to list and mail items. Of course, the best part about cleaning out your closet is the excuse it gives you to go shopping again. On Tradesy, you can find designer bags, clothes, shoes and jewelry for way less.
Here’s $20.00 to spend on your first purchase of $50.00 or more on Tradesy when you use my referral link.
