Like any fashion blogger with her
salt shoes, I’m a fan of Anuschka Rees’ lovely blog Into-Mind, so I got really excited when I discovered she had a book out. If you haven’t visited her blog, check it out right now. I’ll wait. The Curated Closet is pretty much her blog in book form. The layouts, the pages, the topics – everything feels just as you’d expect them to be.
The Curated Closet: A Simple System for Discovering Your Personal Style and Building Your Dream Wardrobe is broken down into four parts: The Basics, Discover Your Personal Style, Build Your Dream Wardrobe, and The Art of Shopping. In part one, Rees suggests documenting your outfits for two weeks to help you better understand your style and wardrobe needs. Part two, is about finding inspiration and identifying your style, while part 3 is about making your dream wardrobe a reality. Finally, part four discusses quality, fit, and budget.
One of my favorite things about The Curated Closet is that it is filled with lists, charts, and pictures. I’d almost call it a well dressed woman’s fashion textbook, but that makes the book sound stuffy when it’s the exact opposite. As a fashion book fanatic, I’m sold on this fashion manual.
