Happy Halloween! The spooktacular day is finally here. Do you have a costume? No? Well, you’re in luck because I’m full of ideas!
If you’re looking for a costume that’s perfect for everyday, check out Hipster Pocahontas. For a little workplace Halloween fun, try the Snapchat Flower Crown Filter DIY. If you’re partying at home, Sleeping Beauty Queen will keep you comfy through a night of trick-or-treaters. For those going out, Circus Performer is a quick and clever costume.
But, if you’re looking for a costume in your closet that’s a bit more Halloween, might I suggest going as the Evil Queen?
As a fan of Once Upon A Time, I’ve longed to get my hands on Evil Queen Regina’s fabulous wardrobe. The clothes. The jewels. The attitude. Regina’s wardrobe showed that there’s an upside to being the evil queen.
Okay, not everyone is going to have a coat like this in their closet. I made this coat and wore it for fashion wear at Captivating Pageants. For the sewers out there, I used the McCall’s pattern M6818, which was easy to adjust and is a pattern I definitely recommend.
I paired the coat with faux leather leggings from Wet Seal (similar) and the Rag & Bone Classic Newbury Booties (c/o Shopbop). Of course I couldn’t resist adding some sparkly jewelry. Giant cocktail rings and chandelier earrings are a must for any evil queen.
What are your plans for Halloween?
