Life Lately: Real Neat Blog Award

Watching: Moana and Doctor Strange. The first is a sweet movie with a good soundtrack. The second is, well, strange, but it does have Benedict Cumberbatch! Also, I’m watching way too many Hallmark Christmas movies.

Listening to: This mix of classic Jane Austen soundtracks. It’s guaranteed to put a smile on any Jane Austen fan’s face.

Reading: A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles. This collection of connected vignettes is surprisingly charming for a story about a count put under house arrest during the rise of the Soviet Union.

Anticipating: Phantom of the Opera. I’m so excited to be seeing this show next week. I grew up listening to the soundtrack, and have seen the show once before. It is amazing.

Life lately... this slouchy hat is one of my recent crochet projects.

Wearing: Crochet. This fall, I’ve been reveling in yarn. The green slouchy hat and silver gauntlets are two recent projects.

Pageanting: Cheering on friends at Miss Ohio USA.

Buying: Too many things. Thanksgiving week was a dangerous week for my wallet, but I found some great deals. I treated myself to Amazon’s Fire HD 8 Tablet as wells as some goodies from Ulta.

Vlogging: Vlogmas. From now through Christmas Eve, I’ll be posting a new video every day on my channel. Be sure to tune in!

  1. You are just cute as a button 🙂 You did so great with your answers! Also that is a very strange first date, lol… I don’t know how I would’ve reacted either BUT holy balls on that guy, right?? I mean, it takes a lot to sing in front of a crowd and dedicate a random German song to a girl you just met 😉

XOXO and thanks for playing! Look forward to seeing more videos from you.

  2. Sweet! thanks for the nomination. I’m in the middle of a zombie book event but will be able to post a response right after 🙂 I want to see at least 3 Hallmark Christmas movies this month. And love that link to the Jane Austen tunes!

oh thanks for nominating me with the questions, and i’ll have to watch your video when i’m able to watch with sound. my go-to gift is normally a mug or book or socks. or all 3! lol

  4. I didn’t know “phantom” was coming back as a show – cool! I want to see a few movies too so it’s disappointing “Dr. Strange” is just strange.
I ordered ALL my gifts for Christmas so am very happy and got a few great home goodies and lipsticks too. Yay for Black Friday!

  5. Congrats on the award. I’ve met Charlotte once and thought she was a doll. BTW – If you like Phantom and enjoy sitcoms, watch The Goldbergs (on ABC) from this past week. It’s all about the 1980’s and Phantom of the Opera.

  6. Oh, I am such a fan of Jane Austen, would love to hear that soundtrack! And what for a cute sweater you are wearing, you look lovely! Congratulations for the blog award! I would like to copy some questions! It’s such a sweet tag! Hope you have a very nice weekend!

  7. I love The Phantom of the Opera. It’s the first musical I’ve ever seen, and know the soundtrack by heart to this day:) And also loved loved loved Doctor Strange!

  8. You made the green hat?! It’s amazing! And it looks so cosy. Very useful to be able to make ones own cold weather attire. How exciting about Phantom, I played the soundtrack in an orchestra once but have still yet to see it live. I’d love to!
