One of my favorite things about the holiday season is discovering fantastic deals that only come around once a year. LE TOTE a monthly rental subscription box, has been on my want-to-try list for at least a year, and I’m finally getting around to trying it thanks to an awesome deal I scored on Black Friday.
Le Tote offers two subscription plans – Classic and Maternity. I’m trying the Classic plan, which has three monthly options:
3 clothing items + 2 accessories $59 /mo
4 clothing items $59 /mo
2 clothing items + 1 accessory $39 /mo
You can keep a tote for as long as you want, and there isn’t a limit to how often you can send a tote back in a month. Because of that Black Friday deal, I scored my first month free (hooray!), so I opted to try the three clothing items and two accessories option.
How Le Tote Works
1. Fill out a style profile.
2. Select your monthly plan.
3. Confirm or customize your tote.
4. Get excited while you wait for your tote.
5. Open your box and try on everything.
6. Wear everything as much as you want.
7. Send back any pieces you don’t want to buy. (Shipping is free!)
8. Rate your tote.
9. Repeat steps 3-8.
Le Tote #1 Unboxing…
♥ The Subscription: LE TOTE
♥ The Cost: $39+ monthly rental fee
♥ The Products: Clothes, Accessories
♥ Ships to: US
Clothing item #1 – KUT FROM THE KLOTH Black Denim Jacket (LT Price $68 Retail $89)
I wore this cute jacket twice before sending it back. Once with the floral top and again with the plaid shirt dress.
Clothing item #2 – JACK Floral Lace Back Top (LT Price $56 Retail $70)
I wore this top twice and really loved the floral print.
Accessory item #1 – CAMILLA Pave Key Pendant (LT Price $24 Retail $30)
I don’t wear necklaces that much, so I think I only wore this necklace once. Still, it’s very pretty.
Clothing item #3 – HAYES Plaid Shirt Dress (LT Price $58 Retail $72)
My closet is filling up with plaid, but I was almost tempted to keep this cute shirt dress. I wore it twice before sending it back.
Accessory item #2 – OCTAVIA & CO. Braided Trim Crossbody (LT Price $38 Retail $48)
While I liked the style of this crossbody bag, I only wore it once and prefer using my own purses. This just couldn’t compare with my new saddlebag…
Thoughts on Le Tote…
Overall, I really like the pieces in my first box. Le Tote selected the pieces, but I did have the option to customize and replace items in my tote. I wish a packing list with item details and prices was included, but the details are easy to find in my Le Tote closet. I like that they included a measuring tape in my first box, and I think that is something all styling services should do.
I wish it were possible to mix and match pieces from totes. I wanted to hang on to the top and dress a little longer, but I had to send the whole tote back or be charged for the pieces I kept. However, if you do decide to keep a piece, there is a discount off the retail price.
Mailing items back was easy. All I had to do was put them in the prepaid bag and drop if off at the post office. No washing required. Plus, the shipping is quick. I mailed my bag back Sunday night, and I’ve already received my second tote.
Le Tote just might be the answer to an affordable, unlimited closet. At the very least, it’s the answer to fewer laundry days.
Would you try a service like Le Tote?
P.S. Here’s what I thought about my first three totes!
