I love it when a company makes things right

Last week I posted my thoughts on my Golden Tote Surprise Grab Bag. I was disappointed that one of the pieces I received had the brand clipped off the tag, leaving me with the feeling that the dress was supposed to be tossed and not sold. Happily, Golden Tote’s customer service is awesome.

I wrote to the company and sent them a picture of the dress. While customer service was just as confused as I was about the clipped tag, they offered to send me another surprise item. I really appreciate that customer service took my concerns seriously and sent me a replacement item by the end of the week.

While a grab bag is always going to be a fashion risk, customer service shouldn’t be. I’m giving Golden Tote an A+ for customer service because I love it when a company makes things right.

  1. I’m always impressed when a company has awesome customer service. It’s like Amazon or LL Bean. They know how to keep their customers! And yes, the new dress they sent is pretty darn cute. Did you keep it?

  2. Yes! Customer service IS important! I had one subscription box that I loved, but had to cancel due to customer service. This dress is so cute and I love how you styled it with red tights! Perfect for V-Day!

  4. LOVE. That dress is awesome and you wear it awesomely with accessories. I really think some companies go above and beyond. I had a similar experience with Zulily. They sent something totally wrong and sent the right thing right out, and told me to donate the wrong one. How cool!

    I will pretty much only shop at places with good customer service, I love the Gap family of brands because they always go above and beyond for me.

  12. That’s awesome that they rectified the situation and sent such an adorable dress as replacement! Customer service can definitely make or break a company for me, with both retail and restaurants. If your clothes are cute, but I don’t feel welcome in your store or every time I think of you, it brings up bad feelings of a bad experience, I’m going to take my dollar elsewhere. On the other side, if a company goes above and beyond with their customer service, I remember, and I want to invest my dollar there.
