Casual Friday: Maize and Blue

I had a terrible realization a few weeks ago. My ten year college reunion is this year. It’s a bit ridiculous that nearly a decade has gone by since graduation. Time flies when you’re having fun, I guess?

Last weekend, I went to the library book sale before hitting the park for a few outfit pics. I’m constantly reaching for my pea coat and saddle bag, so these pieces aren’t new to the blog. What’s funny is that I happen to be wearing a variation of my school’s colors. So, this outfit post is a salute to the good, old maize and blue. A winning combination in football and in fashion.

I'm constantly reaching for my pea coat and saddle bag, which just happen to be in my college's colors. Let's hear it for maize and blue!

  1. That peacoat is adorable! You will love the Happiness Project book. Library book sales are the best, I love looking through all the books. Happy Weekend!

  2. It’s a milestone, 10 years of graduation! I loved the coat, the color is great, and the bag and boots are fantastic – the color scheme is really beautiful and you look great! I will try to find these boots, they are really lovely! I hope you have a great weekend!

  3. Your Alma mater has much nicer colors than mine (yellow and brown- excuse me “Game Day Gold” and brown).

I love the coat. Hope you write about your thoughts on the Happiness Project. I actually really liked the book, but her podcasts and blog I’ve never been able to get into. Anyway, since you bullet journal, I think it will appeal to you.

  4. Maize and blue is a great combination! They go perfectly with your red boots and the grey/white accessories. I love picking up old books, too, and it looks like you got some great picks!
