Life Lately: Is it spring yet?

Life Lately: Is it spring yet? Here's a look at what I've been up to lately.

Eating: Pączki. My gluten free diet went out the window this Mardis Gras because it was impossible for me to say no to a chocolate filled doughnut.

Watching: The Crown. This Netflix series is so good and deserves the hype. I, also, went to see the musical Newsies on screen, and it was almost as good as when I saw it live. I just wished there had been more wide shots so we could see the cool set.

Reading: The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert. I bought this novel at a library book sale ages ago and am just now starting to dig into it. I’m only a few chapters in, but so far, I’m liking it.

Listening to: The Secret of Chimneys. Agatha Christie audiobooks are awesome. I find it very easy to abandon audiobooks, but Christie’s stories are packed with suspense. While Chimneys was a bit predictable, it was still very enjoyable.

Making: Jewelry. This week I finished this ring, which was my first project doing reticulation and using a tube setting. I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out. Plus, I’m making bead bracelets for my Etsy store, ShoppeRoundACorner.

Performing: Improv. I was in my second local improv show this week, and it’s amazing being on stage with a bunch of funny and supportive people.

Blogging about: The shopbop sale, the Sweet Progress Galentine’s Box Swap, Ipsy, Stitch Fix, bullet journaling, and what’s saving my life right now!

P.S. Today I’m linking up with Kristen and  Gretchen.

  1. i have been meaning to watch the crown, it looks so good. i never thought to try an agatha christie book on audio, what a great idea!

  2. So happy to know I’m not the only one patiently waiting for spring to come. I’ve noticed The Crown on Netflix, but I haven’t watched it yet. You have convinced me to watch it this weekend, OMG I can’t wait. I have yet to listen to an audio book because I love reading so much. But I’m willing to give it a try. I’m getting into beaded jewelry making also Ashely. It’s so relaxing.

  3. I feel like being a part of an improv group would be so much fun!!
I’ve been trying to get into audiobooks but I haven’t found the right genre/narrator yet. Maybe I’ll try an Agatha Christie novel!

  4. I have The Crown and Victoria on my Netflix to-watch list. But I got sucked into the Sons of Anarchy season 2.

    1. I’m 3/4 way through the book, and I’m still not sure. The first couple of chapters were definitely the best. The main character is a botanist, and the story follows her life, although there are huge jumps in time.

  5. Improv sounds like a blast, I’ve always wanted to try but never had the guts to do it. I’d love a Paczki, we couldn’t find any here. 🙁
