Thank goodness it’s finally FriYAY. My weekend plans consist mainly of chilling in front of the TV and catching up on housework. Good times. I might even squeeze in a little time to DIY. My Arts & Crafts Pinterest board is out of control, and I’d love to knock a few projects off my list. If you are looking for a creative project that can easily be finished over the weekend, I’ve rounded up a few of my past DIY projects to tempt you.
5 Things to DIY this weekend
Remember when galaxy nails were all the rage? This is the perfect mani for anyone afraid of nail art. You simply layer on a bunch of different colors for an effect that is out of this world.
Get ready for festival season with this easy flower crown DIY. Using silk flowers and pipe cleaners, you can have a summer worthy crown ready in no time at all.
I love collecting charm bracelets, but making your own is super easy to do, too. This is the perfect project for using up leftover beads and broken jewelry. Using an elastic cord means you won’t have to worry about attaching a clasp.
Another great project for using up left over craft supplies is this pair of embellished sunglasses. I used scrapbooking and nail embellishments to create this fun pair.
What sort of weekend would it be if a little rage baking wasn’t involved? One of my favorite ways to de-stress is to bake up a storm, and these fudge brownies are the perfect weekend treat.
If you need more DIY ideas, you could always flip through your stack of magazines and get inspired by the many recipes and projects featured in O, Redbook, and Seventeen. Don’t forget that the first Friday of every month is the Glossies Made Me Do It link up hosted by me, Lauren, and Erika!
P.S. If you’re looking for another recipe to try, don’t miss Glossies Made Me Do It: Southern Living Flourless Chocolate Cupcakes!
