It’s another rainy, May day, and can I just say that I am over the rain? I’m over it. At least this rainy weather is a good excuse to wear my new trench coat. It’s lightweight with a removable hood, and thanks to gift cards and a promo code, I got it for less than $3. Also, it’s from the kid’s department, but let’s just keep that among friends.
Crown Jewelry recently asked me to select a piece to review, and a few days ago I received this beautiful Ancient Roman Glass Ring. I picked it because A) I’m a history nerd and B) it’s so pretty. The ring comes with a certificate of authenticity explaining that the ring is “inlaid with a fragment of ancient glass, discovered in an archaeological excavation in the Holy Land.” Pretty cool, right? The ring is beautiful, and I love that I can wear a little bit of history on my finger.
I keep talking about the Victoria Beckham for Target collection (see dress 1 and dress 2), and the final piece I snagged is this black High Neck Scallop Trim Tank Top. The scallops are adorable, and this top is very affordable, so it’s a win all around. (It’s on clearance, so get it while you can.)
I’m growing out my bangs, and I really can’t decide if I like myself without bangs. I’ve had bangs my entire life, so I feel like I need to give the no bangs look a fair go. I haven’t quite mastered what to do with my nose level fringe, so I usually spend half the day batting it out of my eyes. Sometimes, I twist and pin my bangs up. This whole no bangs thing is still a work in progress.
What I’m wearing: Gap Trench Coat, Victoria Beckham for Target, High Neck Scallop Trim Tank Top, American Eagle Outfitters Hi-Rise Jegging, Ancient Roman Glass Ring (c/o Crown Jewelry), Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Oxford Sneakers (c/o Shopbop), Marc by Marc Jacobs Aviator Sunglasses (c/o Shopbop), Vera Bradley Morgan Satchel Bag.
