Performing in: The King and I. This show ate up parts of May and most of June, and it was totally worth it. I had so much fun and was reminded why I love theatre. If you wondered why I wasn’t blogging much last month it was because of this awesome show. I met so many wonderful people through this production, and can’t wait to do another one.
Pageanting: My time as Ms. Captivating ends this month, and I can’t believe it’s been nearly a year since I posted about my pageant journey. Hotel reservations have been made, and I’m currently figuring out my wardrobe for pageant weekend. Here’s a sneak peek at my gown…
Reading: Sunlight and Shadow by Cameron Dokey. I picked this up yesterday from a Barnes and Noble surprise book display. It’s the kind of book you could read in the day, but I’m taking my time with it and am using it as a palette cleanser between my other reads.
Watching: Doctor Who. While many episodes this season have felt recycled or mashed up, I just can’t stop watching this sci-fi behemoth. Plus, I love Missy, and the return of a certain other Time Lord totally made the season for me. Now, I have to start counting down the days till the Christmas episode.
Making: This necklace. I’m learning a lot in my metalsmith jewelry making class and this pendant combines many of those things. The mountains are made from reticulated new gold and the moon is a tube set crystal.
