TBB Holiday Q&A

I don’t know how to tell you this, but it is already December, and Christmas is only a few weeks away. Today, I’m linking up with The Blended Blog and am sharing my answers to some pressing holiday questions.

Today, I’m linking up with The Blended Blog for the TBB Holiday Q&A and am sharing my answers to some pressing holiday questions.

1. Real or fake tree?

Since I’m allergic to pine, it has to be fake.

2. Favorite Christmas cookie?

My mom makes a mean eggnog cookie, and these are my go-to chocolate chip cookies.

3. Home on Christmas morning or travel?

It depends on the year, but usually Christmas morning is at my grandma’s.

4. Clear or colored lights?

Both are pretty. The main thing is that I like a lot of lights.

5. Send Christmas cards?

Yes, but I don’t send as many as I used to. It’s a lot of work.

6. Favorite Christmas present received?

Over the years, I’ve received some great presents such as an American Girl Doll (Samantha) when I was 5, a pair of Barbie roller skates when I was 7, my first pair of ice skates when I was 9, a sewing machine when I was in college, and a video camera several years ago so I could start vlogging.

7. Favorite Christmas present given?

I have no idea. Every year I try to find gifts the receiver will love.

8. Stockings or no stockings?

My mom and grandma still give us stockings, and I always look forward to seeing what’s inside.

9. Christmas PJs?

I have a set of elf pajamas I got from Target a few years ago, and they are fun to wear on Christmas Eve.

10. Favorite Christmas carol?

I have always loved “Silent Night” and “Carol of the Bells” rocks my world.

11. Favorite holiday tradition?

Opening presents on Christmas morning and going to a movie later in the day.

12. Early shopper or last minute?

This year I got most of my shopping done Thanksgiving weekend. Phew.

13. Favorite Christmas movie or show?

Here are some of my favorites. I, also, watch the Hallmark Channel way too much over the holidays.

14. Favorite holiday beverage?

Hot chocolate with lots of whipped cream and marshmallows.

15. Cookies and milk for Santa?

More like cookies and milk for me.

  1. Oh, I loved to know a bit more about you! May I use this questionnaire? I really loved it, will mention you, for sure and people can also see the blog you got it from. I really loved it! I loved the “more like cookies and milk for me” 🙂 And the list of the most favorite presents and years 🙂 Hope you have a lovely week!

  2. Any chance you are going to post that eggnog cookie recipe? My mouth is watering just reading the name! I love Carol of the Bells too, especially the Trans Siberian Orchestra rendition, total game changer. We fell out of the habit of sending Christmas cards, and now we don’t get any! I’m starting the tradition back up this year, because I want to get cards from everyone else. I don’t even mind if that is the wrong motive behind sending them 🙂

  3. What a fun post Ashley! I would love to get a real tree, but I’m allergic to pine as well. I love sending Christmas cards, but I agree it does take a lot of work. I’m trying to send a few this year though

  4. LOL yes to cookies and milk for you! I feel the same way 🙂 And I’m with you on the hot chocolate too–that’s my favorite this time of year.

  5. That’s so fun that your mom and grandma still do a stocking for you! I loved getting my stocking growing up. I couldn’t think of anything specific for the gift answer, but I definitely loved my Samantha doll one year too. I had never heard of people being allergic to pine, but so many people have mentioned it in posts today!

  6. Aww! So fun to read! I love learning about others’ traditions. I used to send out so many Christmas cards. Now I only send them out after receiving them. Is that bad? Like you said, it’s so much work!

  7. Such a fun post – I’m starting to feel quite festive 🙂
You are so organised having most of your Christmas shopping done already!
Hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows sounds sooooo good.

  8. Oh no! How annoying to be allergic to pine. You can’t really buy Christmas trees here so I’m thinking of getting a scented candle and calling it a day. I also think I need to invest in some Christmas pyjamas!

  9. My kids and I have allergies and asthma, so we’ve never attempted to get a real tree! I wish we could, tho!! 🙁 I remember getting my very first digital camera, it was my favorite gift ever!!!
