Last Minute Holiday Outfit Ideas

‘Tis the season for holiday parties, and while it’s fun to get together with friends and family this time of the year, getting dressed can be somewhat stressful. Here are three last minute holiday outfit ideas to inspire you for your next shindig.

1. Shop your closet

I’m constantly saying that I have nothing to wear, but the truth is that I don’t have anything I want to wear. Sometimes you have to dig deep into your closet and try something you haven’t worn in a while. I bought this lace H&M dress for a party last year, and I forgot about it until I started unpacking my fall clothes.

2. Embrace your budget

I wish my budget was large enough that I could buy something new for every occasion, but that’s just not realistic. Thankfully, you don’t have to spend a fortune on a trendy dress to see you through your holiday parties. Target has so many cute pieces right now, and they won’t break the bank.

3. Be comfortable

When it’s cold outside, I’d much rather snuggle inside. But, if I have to venture out, I want to be comfortable. A loose fitting knit dress like this one from Stitch Fix is cute and comfy while fringe boots make trekking through the snow a lot easier.

Bonus tip!

Cold weather is the perfect excuse to wear tights. Lipton Publicity sent me the Berkshire 4741 Luxe Opaque Tights with Control Top that I’m wearing in the above pics. Basic black tights can be dressed up or down and are a stylish way to keep your legs warm while you are enjoying the holiday festivities.

  7. The black sheath with the bell sleeves is fabulous on you! Even though I had more than enough new party options from brand collaborations this year, I still shopped my closet. And while I usually go for dresses, I wore a lot of top and skirt combos this year because I like being able to build my own look. Sometimes when you have a new piece, shopping your closet to build the rest of the look helps you see old pieces in a whole new light. Happy New Year!
