Last minute Halloween costume: Pretty Woman

Need a last minute Halloween costume? Grab a red cocktail dress and long white gloves and start channeling your inner Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.

Can you believe Halloween is next week? My Facebook feed is already filling up with friends posting pictures of their Halloween costumes. If you need a last minute Halloween costume, don’t fret. Shop your closet!

Every year, I love coming up with last minute Halloween costume ideas. This month, I’ve raided my closet to put together looks inspired by Amy Pond from Doctor Who and Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Today’s lat minute costume is a twist on Julia Robert’s iconic look in Pretty Woman.

Last year I got this cute J.O.A. Ruffle Mini Dress (c/o Shopbop) to wear for a pageant interview. I’ve worn it once since the pageant. While I wish my life required more opportunities to dress up, Halloween is a fun reason to dig out clothes you otherwise have no occasion to wear. Need a last minute Halloween costume? To get this look, I paired my red dress with the Berkshire Women’s Trend City Cable Control Top Tight (c/o Lipton Publicity) and my new L.K. Bennett Sledge pumps. The white gloves were once my mom’s, and the gold wristlet is from Coach.

I curled my hair and twisted it into a bun then swiped on some red lipstick to finish off the look. This idea can, also, be a really cute couples costume. Bonus points if you can get your guy to dress up as a Sugar Daddy.
