Can you believe Halloween is next week? My Facebook feed is already filling up with friends posting pictures of their Halloween costumes. If you need a last minute Halloween costume, don’t fret. Shop your closet!
Last year I got this cute J.O.A. Ruffle Mini Dress (c/o Shopbop) to wear for a pageant interview. I’ve worn it once since the pageant. While I wish my life required more opportunities to dress up, Halloween is a fun reason to dig out clothes you otherwise have no occasion to wear.
To get this look, I paired my red dress with the Berkshire Women’s Trend City Cable Control Top Tight (c/o Lipton Publicity) and my new L.K. Bennett Sledge pumps. The white gloves were once my mom’s, and the gold wristlet is from Coach.
I curled my hair and twisted it into a bun then swiped on some red lipstick to finish off the look. This idea can, also, be a really cute couples costume. Bonus points if you can get your guy to dress up as a Sugar Daddy.

If only real circuses were as magical as The Night Circus. I would totally run away and join Le Cirque des Rêves. Inspired by tightrope walkers, this circus performer costume […]
I just figured out how to do Snapchat filters (thanks Sana!), and I finally understand why everyone is so obsessed with them. Every year I look forward to October and the excuse to play dressup post Halloween costume ideas – the easier (and sillier) the better. Nothing is easier than this Halloween costume. It’s perfect for lazy girls who just happen to have a sash and crown hidden in their closet, although ebay and Etsy will see you right if […]
Every year I look forward to October and the excuse to play dressup post Halloween costume ideas. To start Spooktober off right, I’m channeling my inner Disney princess/hipster… Too often Pocahontas gets overlooked in the Disney princess canon. Maybe it’s because she doesn’t wear a crown or live in a palace. Maybe it’s because the movie […]
“Whenever I feel blue, I start breathing again.” ― L. Frank Baum Is there a little girl who has seen The Wizard of Oz and not longed for a pair of ruby slippers? When I was a child, I drooled over the glitter encrusted shoes at the store and could not be happy until a […]
