I have a love/hate relationship with Stitch Fix. Sometimes a fix is a winner, but too often a fix is a dud. Happily, I can report that my latest fix was a winner, and I had to make some hard decisions about what to keep. Read on to see what I kept and what I sent back.

    How Stitch Fix Works

    1.  Fill out a style profile and share your likes and dislikes with your stylist. I recommend putting together a Pinterest board.
    2. Schedule your box. They can be sent to you automatically or you can schedule a box one at a time.
    3. Pay $20 when your box is styled.
    4. Get excited while you wait for your box.
    5. Open your box and try on everything your stylist sends you.
    6. Decide what to keep and what to send back. (You have 3 days to do this.)
    7. Share your thoughts at checkout so your stylist has a better idea of what to send you next time.
    8. Send back any pieces you don’t want. (Shipping is free!)

What I Kept and What I Sent Back…

WISP Leeah Lace Knit Dress – $68

This lace dress is really cute, but I didn’t love it. The almost cap sleeve style is not my favorite, and despite being a petite size, the waist didn’t hit me in the right spot.

Market & Spruce Hans Crochet Front Top – $58

Colette Mali Brushed Knit Skirt – $44

The top and skirt make a cute combo, but it’s not a look I would wear very often. The top was, also, too boxy for my taste, and I wasn’t wild about the waistband on the skirt.

WISP Tressa Ponte Dress – $74

Despite the almost cap sleeves, I really liked this dress. The flowers create movement, which is a plus when you are short, and I really liked the bold colors.

Marlyn Schiff Della Crystal Drop Earring – $28

I loved these earrings and planned on keeping them until I remembered that I’m competing in a pageant and have no extra money. I, also, noticed that these earrings were a few dollars cheaper on the designer’s site. So…

    Thoughts on Fix #10

When I first opened the box, I was not impressed with what I saw, but trying things on gave me a much better opinion of what I had been sent. While I only kept one item, this fix felt closer to my personal style than some of the other fixes I’ve received over the past year. I, also, really appreciated that my stylist checked out my blog.

I have great plans for the WISP Tressa Ponte Dress since it will fit in nicely with the pageant wardrobe I am putting together. Plus, it has a hint of stretch, which makes it nice for long car rides to events.

I really love all the items, I would keep all of them. And the dress you kept is amazing, perfect for you.

I’m so glad you kept that dress because it’s amaaaaazing.
I hear you on dresses not hitting exactly right on the waist. It can be so close.. but has to be 100%

Thanks so much for the honest review! That’s too bad re: the blue dress, I think it would be beautiful to wear to a wedding or fancy nighttime occasion, but if you’re not feeling it, there’s no sense in keeping it. I love the dress you kept though!

The blue dress was my favorite! That floral one though is perfect for graduation season. Who am I talking? I just wore brown socks with Nike soccer shoes.

That blue lace dress is really pretty, but you’re right about the sleeves. That’s an awkward length. I prefer either sleeveless or a full cap (or even half) sleeve. The floral dress, on the other hand, is gorgeous! It’s perfect on you!

I really like the dress you chose to keep. That’s great your stylist looked at your blog. 🙂

The dress you kept is gorgeous! I love those colors and it’s so pretty on you. I’m not a big fan of cap (or almost cap) sleeves on myself either, but I think you look great. I actually love the skirt too.

I used to do it but only kept and loved two things from there over about eight tries.

I really like those earrings but sounds like getting them on the designer’s site was the way to go! 😉

That floral print dress looks amazing on you and is definitely a keeper! It’s such a pretty color combo!
